First Edition. Rare. A portrait of Haydn inset. Half Calf glossy tan mid nineteenth-signed Belz Niedrée. Back to nerves nets. Part of title in black morocco and second piece in red morocco. Friction. Upper joint split partly fragile. The work is considered one of the major works of the Italian musical literature in the nineteenth century. It was plagiarized by Stendhal, under the pseudonym Caesar Bombet 'Letters Written in Vienna, Austria knew the famous composer Haydn', and later included in his Lives of Haydn, Mozart ....
